In 2008 HPA were engaged to design and construct the new Bridge Climb public operations facility and climb connection system on the Harbour Bridge, the development provided a significant increase in climb operations’ capacity, new retail, new café and heritage display gallery.
The project involved working within significant heritage and infrastructure constraints of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Located in two of the original vaulted arch spaces which are underneath the southern approach, this project involved working within significant heritage constraints, designing a hybrid public facility comprising interpretive museum gallery, operational areas, access tunnels, climbing apparatus. Then as Principal Contractor delivering the project within a tight time.
